A charming traditional homestead laid out around a pretty garden, this is a fun-packed holiday destination for families or friends.
The homestead, which sleeps 7 people, dates from 1933 and retains many original features, consists of two separate buildings. The main house, with its pretty latticed porch, has three spacious bedrooms and a bathroom, which lead off a central hall, with a traditional wood-burning stove.
The annexe has a beautiful, wisteria-covered veranda with a big brick grill and two large tables where guests can enjoy dining alfresco. Inside there is an airy living/dining room with a sofa, flatscreen tv, wood-burning stove and another large dining table for 8 people. The spacious, separate kitchen is equipped with everything guests might need: a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and toaster. There is another dining table in the kitchen for more casual meals.
The extensive, sunny garden is full of fun things to do and see. An orchard of organic fruit trees, where guests are free to gather fruit in season. Elsewhere there is table tennis, badminton, football, basketball net, volleyball, archery, swings, bowling, and golf and there is even a small museum on site. There is also a separate barn and many traditional farm tools and equipment for children to explore.
